A bit of history

We go to the Secondary School in Piotrków Trybunalski. It is one of the best schools in the town. Our school is old because last year we celebrated 150th anniversary. At the beginning it was only a female school. Later the school was turned into co-educational one.

To get to school we had to pass exams at gymnasium well, because the number of points on average we got on the test was the most criteria to get to school.

Now we go to the second class, so next year will be our last year here. At school we spend 7 hours a day. Lesson lasts for 45 minutes and break lasts for 10 minutes. We have one longer break (15 minutes) to eat sth in our school canteen, where we can buy hot dogs, hamburgers or some sweets and soft drinks.

After school we spend 2-3 hours learning for the next day and we usually have a lot of homework to do. It very often happens that we learn till late at night (especially when we have a test next day).

At school, apart from compulsory lessons, we have a whole variety of extra activities connected with our interests, e.g. volleyball, basketball, singing, dancing, and languages.

We are sometimes fed up of school but in general, it is not so bad.
