Big waiting for xmas :)

Christmas in Piotrków : Everything here is like in a fairy.
On the 6th December there was a santa Claus day. Family, friends and couples give presents to special people in their life. In Poland people are deep believers.
Now I'll describe the 24 th December. The tradition says " how will this day look like it, will look for the whole year" . Then everybody gets up early, and works at home :D , tidies , prepares gifts, children decorate christmas tree, moms and daughters make dishes for christmas evening, in a very old tradition girls, who an christmas day took some snow and clean their face with it would have brilliant skin.
Till the evening everybody makes " pierogi" with mushrooms and sauerkraut, fungal soup and a few kinds of fish. Christmas Eve starts when the first star appears in the sky. On the Table are 12 dishes ( like 12 apostols) . Everybody is in neat clothes . All the people stand and listen to the part of the Bible about Jesus born and three Kings. Family breaks the holy wafer with other and tells the wishes. Then everybody sits and eats 12 dishes. CD with christmas song is played in the background. On the table there must be wallnuts, oranges . almonds because the tradition says it makes the house richest. On the table there is an extra dish for an unknown guest. When Christmas dinner ends children can opengifts which are under the Christmas Tree. Little children believe that Santa Cames and puts gifts .
At 12 o'clock everybody goes to church to pray there and sing christmas songs. In the villages farmers believe animals speak human's voice. They really take care of animals this evening, because it's a magical evening for everybody.

my name's Agata. I'm 17. I live in the small country near Piotrków Trybunalski. I've 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Every day I wake up at 6 o'clock am because I have to get to school on time and my lessons start at 8 am.
In my free time I like meeting my friends and spending nice time together. On Saturdays we usually go to the disco.
